10 guitar players you should know

As with all problematic 10-you-should-know lists —there are so many more great musicians to mention, it has been an impossible task to select just ten names in each category. However, the main aim of this blog is to shed light on musicians who might not get the attention they deserve. It is still very common for children to think in male and female 'suitable' instruments. Education is where it all starts. This post is an attempt to provide inspiration, education and a reminder of great creative artists.

Dropping names it is:

To keep things simple I'm assuming you know these great front women who play fabulously guitar: Anni d'Franco, Bonnie Raitt, Joni Mitchel and Mellisa Etheridge.
